The VNJY-55 is a highly compact, totally enclosed survival craft developed in strict accordance with the latest IMO/SOLAS, LSA Code, and MED regulations. Featuring a hull length of 5.5 meters and a beam of 2.8 meters, it provides a highly stable, low-maintenance evacuation solution. The space between the hull/deck and their respective liners is pressure-injected with polyurethane buoyancy foam, ensuring the craft remains completely self-righting and fully buoyant even when completely flooded or damaged below the waterline.
The vessel features a forward-facing helmsman station for optimal pilot visibility and is equipped with a mechanical steering nozzle to maximize maneuverability and bollard pull.
System Integration & Compatibility
- Vessel Variation: Can be delivered as a Dry Cargo (DC) version.
- Launching Interface: Fully compatible for launching and retrieval via a cantilevered platform davit or a single pivot davit.
- Hook Release Options: Can be equipped with either the VIKING Nadiro Drop-in-Ball™ system or the VIKING Norsafe TOR MK-2 off-load/on-load release hook.
